Located in the coveted 939 Coast Blvd building—just feet from La Jolla’s iconic Children’s Cove—this full-scale condo renovation transforms every square foot into highly functional, luxurious living space. Matrix Design Studio reimagined the original layout, increasing usable space by over 15% and introducing a new walk-in closet, custom bar, and integrated storage throughout. Sustainably harvested Hawaiian Koa veneer and Tiffany Quartzite slabs from Petra Stone ground the interiors with natural warmth and tactile richness, while tasteful mirror placement expands sightlines and light across the compact floorplate. A sculptural kitchen island, spa-inspired bathrooms, and wide-plank oak flooring contribute to a restrained yet coastal-modern aesthetic. Intense collaboration with Healey Custom Builders ensured seamless execution across every detail—resulting in a refined beachfront retreat that balances artistry, efficiency, and comfort.
